While sledding has never appealed to me due to its safety concerns, I’m so glad that you’re outside and appreciating the beautiful snow, even though your shoe choice is concerning and a little cringey. Did I worry that you would die because of how unstable your sledding looked? Yes. But did I laugh regardless? Also yes.
Also, your location reminds me of the poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep
Wow, I wish I could’ve sled in the snow, but ours won’t stop falling. Right now we’re at 9 inches and it’s still falling. You got up quite a bit of speed there too, just don’t hit the trees!
Honestly, I was quite surprised not to see you in Italian loafers Dr. E! I don’t know who you are anymore. Also, Cadi sledding is a blast and you should try it sometime somewhere that’s not too steep and not near a road!
Dr.E, I’ve never been sledding before, but you made it look really fun. I definitely will try it soon! Grenada has quite a bit of ice/snow on the ground so I’ve been trapped in the house for a couple of days, and I’m not a big fan of the cold. Glad to see you are having fun! P.S. : When I do go sledding, I most definitely will wear a much cuter shoe than you did 🙂
